Skin Treatments
available using Ellipse I2PL technology:
Permanent Hair
Reduction
Unwanted hair on all parts of
the body (including intimate areas) can be permanently
reduced with very little discomfort.
Hair contains pigment (melanin) that absorbs the light and converts it into heat. The hair transmits this heat into the follicle, which is then destroyed and rendered unable to produce a new hair.
Hair growth is cyclical, as hair follicles go through resting and growing phases. Only follicles in the growth phase contain hair and are destroyed by the heat. Resting hair follicles need to enter the growth phase before they can be effectively destroyed by the Ellipse treatment. That is why it is important to repeat the treatment at intervals until all follicles have been through the growth phase.
The length and growth cycles are effected by numerous factors such as body site, hair density, thickness, ethnic origin, hormonal status and age. Clinical studies have confirmed that at least 3-6 treatments are needed and that intervals between treatments are typically 1-3 months. Results found 80% reduction.
The darker the hair the better the result for this treatment. Reddness in the hair can reduce the result and white/blonde hair doesn not respond to the treatment.
Folliculitis caused
by ingrown hairs will be a thing of the past and most
patients notice a smoother texture of the skin on the
treated areas.
Further information on the Ellipse technology and scientific papers on the results can be found at ellipse

Testimonial
Yvonne is a 34 year old lady who has
been for 3 IPL treatments for removal of unwanted
hair on her legs. She was sceptical because her hair was so thick and dark.
She feels, “delighted with the results. My legs are so smooth and I don't even think about hair on them anymore. My young daughter no longer comments that my legs are "jagging" her.”.
Yvonne told me she had been using various hair removal
methods since her early teens. When going for a two week holiday she would have them waxed but by the second week they would be growing back in. She
had to shave everyday to keep her legs smooth.
