The Treatment Procedure
Filtered
water is used throughout the procedure, warmed to
a comfortable temperature and fed into the colon under
gravity fed conditions. The equipment used per patient is sourced from a company
which provide individually sterilised and sealed tubing.
The dignity and confidentiality of each patient is
particularly important to us and we make every effort
to ensure that this is preserved.
There are a team of qualified nurses who conduct the
treatment each with at least twenty years experience
within a variety of clinical settings. The first appointment
will involve a brief health assessment and a discussion
about diet.
Questions can be asked at any point throughout.
Prior to a colon hydrotherapy
We recommend that you can eat as normal, but ensure that your water intake is around 2 litres per day for 2-3 days prior to your treatment.
After a colon hydrotherapy
Some people may experience mild nausea or fatigue after a treatment. This will normally disappear within 24 hours. Some people may have concerns about "urgency" following a colonic. This is not generally the case but you are welcome to rest at reception until you feel fully confident to leave.
Is this treatment suitable?
There may be a few circumstances under which we may feel colon hydrotherapy is not suitable for example; uncontrolled
diagnosed high blood pressure, unstable diabetes and
a history of heart attacks, but we would like to discuss
this personally.
We do not treat pregnant woman as a matter of precaution. Also, if you are potentially pregnant we recommend that you contact us and the nurse will discuss your options with you.
